Participate in Great Online Competitions and Receive Automatic Entries into Big Cash Draws with LiveTribe

Not only is LiveTribe.com a home to one of the best-paid online surveys and informative and interactive polls, it is also a place to check out if you look for great online competitions with impressive prize pools and guaranteed wins. Smaller competitions with individual prizes ranging from $50 to $250 are held every month throughout the year while major draws with prizes ranging from $3,000 to $25,000 are held up to four times a year. Usually smaller competitions require some creative effort from members and a bit of luck to win. Since the total prize pool is shared between several winners, chances of each participant to win are higher. Winning in a major draw is not only about being lucky. Members can boost their chances of winning the major prize by doing more surveys – that way getting more entries into the major draw – plus also by exchanging their points for extra entries.

In August 2011 LiveTribe.com held its biggest Giveaway up to date. The total of AU$29,500 was split between 10 winners with the top prize being a whopping AU$25,000. Members had up to 8 months prior to the draw to accumulate as many entries as possible to increase their chances of winning the major prize. Getting entries into the draw is an easy and straightforward process – LiveTribe members are being automatically rewarded with entries for every completed activity (i.e. surveys), plus members can always trade their points for more extra entries.

The $25,000 Giveaway in August was followed by the $3,000 Dream Holiday Draw in December.

LiveTribe’s next big draw – the $5,000 Cash Draw – is just a month away. The rules of the draw have not changed – LiveTribe members are still receiving automatic entries thus getting more chances to snatch the big prize at the end. Join LiveTribe.com now and start accumulating entries today. It is easy and it gives you a real chance to be our next big winner!

Global Stats Show 48 Percent of Consumers Are Trying to Lose Weight And Six in Ten Have Difficulty Understanding Nutritional Labels on Food Packages

LiveTribe.com regularly conducts surveys and polls on a wide range of topics varying from preferred ways of spending leisure time to personal finances to daily diet and health. This allows the LiveTribe research team by looking at the global market research data better understand where the Australian consumers stand and how they are compared to consumers in other countries around the world.

A vast number of polls asking about health, food and diet daily submitted to us by our members suggests that those topics are of great interest to many of the panel members. This article looks into the results of some of those polls as well as the results of the global market research conducted lately.

A recent survey ‘Healthy Eating Trends around the World’* conducted throughout Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and North America revealed some interesting facts. For example, the research exposed that up to 53 percent of global consumers are to some degree unhappy with their body weight. In Asia Pacific the percentage is somewhat smaller at 48 percent and reaches its highest amongst the North American consumers, 63 percent. According to our own data Australia fits right in the middle of those two figures. According to a recent poll conducted by LiveTribe.com, just over 50 percent of all New Year’s Eve Resolutions made this year mention losing weight or making efforts to lead a healthier lifestyle or have a healthier diet.

In what seems to be a surprising revelation and might constitute part of the problem highlighted in the previous paragraph, 61 percent of consumers in Asia Pacific confessed they only partly understand information on food packaging, including nutritional information. Australia and New Zealand clearly over performed their neighbours with 52 percent of consumers saying they feel comfortable understanding labelling on food packaging (though as figures below indicate, the Australian consumers expect better from it). In comparison, only 25 percent of South Korean consumers said they understand nutritional information panels and labels on food packaging.

Considering the importance of maintaining good health and diet in our daily lives, LiveTribe continues surveying our members on those topics. Recently we launched a poll asking our members if they were satisfied with the current labelling laws on products for sale. Preliminary results showed that 56 percent of consumers in Australia and New Zealand were not satisfied and would like to see more information to appear on packaging. Can those two sets of statistics – bodyweight and the ability to better understand information on food packaging including nutritional value – be interrelated? Further research will show.

We invite you to tell us what you think about those issues in your comment and send us your ideas for polls on health, food and diet.

* The Nielsen Global Omnibus Survey was conducted in March/April 2011 and in August/September 2011 and polled more than 25,000 consumers in 56 countries throughout Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa and North America.

Talking About Your Favourites

Today brands are everywhere and they matter like never before. We no longer buy just goods and products, brands have taught us that we can do better. We no longer choose just a soap bar, for example, but the bar of soap that comes with the promise to make us beautiful and ever so confident; not just a tooth brush, but the kind of tooth brush that combines the latest scientific innovations and gives us an ‘experience’; not simply an automobile, but rather a product of a high-end design and can change our whole lifestyle. We know our brands by heart and we are always ready to talk about them.

Recently we have asked you to name on top of your head your all-time favourite brands. It was an interesting experiment and here is what we found out. The brand that got named the most is, surprise-surprise, Cadbury. Regardless of gender and age, Cadbury chocolate seems to be firmly fixed in our hearts and minds. Have you had your Cadbury snack today?

The second most named brand was Panasonic. Whether it is a TV, a DVD player or a home theatre Panasonic gets mentioned three to four times more often than Sony and twice as often as LG. Now if we asked you what was Australia’s favourite car, the most expected answer would be Holden. After all, Holden has consistently been Australia’s top selling car for a number of years if not decades. Well, it is 2012 and things seem to be changing: Holden did not get one mentioning. Instead, it was Hundai that got mentioned again and again. Who could have guessed?

Other brands that were often named include: Arnotts, Heinz, Dairy Farmers, Sara Lee and Lindt among foods. Dove and LOC among cosmetic products. LG and HP among electronics.

Comparative market research and the future of PC

Market research surveys, the main specialty of www.LiveTribe.com, have the purpose of looking into current consumer behaviour as a response to different products and services on the market. People’s individual responses and reactions gathered through polls and online surveys are subjected to careful quality control and, apart from providing valuable data to companies that conduct such research, also help see bigger socio-economic trends. Also, by comparing data from different studies in different parts of the world, certain predictions can be made about the future of a particular industry.

Recently Google conducted research that revealed that Australian consumers lead the way in the smartphone technology ‘revolution’. The research showed that 37 percent of the Australian population regularly use smartphones and smartphone applications. One of the conclusions that was made based on such statistics, is that Australian businesses need to adapt by generating more smartphone applications and services to follow the popular trend. At the same time, the research sparked a rumour that home PCs are a thing of the past and that the PC industry is nearing its death.

Such rumours, however, prove to be exaggerated if we look at another market study results. The study was held in the U.S. and clearly indicated, after a wider demographic of consumers was surveyed, that PCs are not going anywhere and are, in fact, here to stay. The research revealed that 82 percent of U.S. households own at least one PC. And while the younger demographic – particularly people in their teens – are among main buyers of smartphones and main consumers of smartphone applications, at home they still prefer PCs (or laptops) to smartphones and even tablets.*

Such information is valuable to businesses and producers as it allows them to respond to consumer behaviour and adapt accordingly. Comparative market research studies are of particular importance if one wants to be able to see a bigger picture and make short-term predictions about the future of any given industry.

LiveTribe.com is launching a new poll to find out more about what type of computers the Australian consumers lean towards these days. Results will be published in one of the upcoming articles.

Two Months full of competitions on LiveTribe.com

On top of all the great rewards on offer LiveTribe also holds regular monthly competitions where all LiveTribe members can participate being given a chance of winning individual cash prizes of up to $250. We often try to organise those competitions around good causes and charity events, international or local, so that together with being given a chance of winning prize cash participants could also get involved and help spread the word and raise awareness around those causes. LiveTribe encourages its members to every now and then donate some of their rewards points in support of charity groups. In fact, LiveTribe is trying to do what no other market research panel does: every month we reward our members’ opinions by giving them a chance of winning cash prizes in competitions and promotions.

In February 2012 LiveTribe has not one but two competitions running at the same time. The total prize pool is $750 that will be split between ten lucky winners.

LiveTribe’s initiative called on all LiveTribe members to support Terrific Picnic’s mission of helping young Australians who live with cancer. We asked you to submit your favourite picnic recipes to the LiveTribe Facebook sharing your skills and inspiration with hundreds of LiveTribe followers on Facebook. One recipe will be chosen to be featured on Terrific Picnic’s website alongside Master Chef Australia 2011 and CanTeen Ambassador, Jay Huxley. All throughout the month we were receiving great responses, witnessed lots of delicious recipes flying to our Facebook wall and the inspiring collective generosity of our members.

The other LiveTribe initiative in February was around Clean Up Australia Day this year held on 4th March. We offered you a number of ways to participate and win up to $150 cash prize plus help Clean Up in their mission for a cleaner Australia. Once again, LiveTribe members proved how much they care about the environment and their local communities by flooding LiveTribe’s competitions email with hundreds of emails.

Constantly Working on Better Online Rewards

LiveTribe, the home of best web surveys and online rewards, serves as a link between manufacturers, service providers and consumers. When companies want reliable information about their services and products and there are consumers out there who want to be heard and are ready to share their opinions, LiveTribe is there to connect the two. LiveTribe’s members receive great online rewards for their participation. On top of that there are monthly cash competitions, polls and more.

But keeping all our surveys respondents satisfied is always a tough task. All people are different and they want different things. When it comes to rewards, while some prefer vouchers and gift cards for online shopping, others want to be able to spend their points on groceries in their local supermarkets. As a member of AMSRO (Australian Market and Social Research Organisations), we also have to comply with various industry standards when it comes to the types of rewards we are allowed to offer. At LiveTribe we try to find a perfect balance between offline and online rewards to equally suit all our members as well as satisfy the local and international market research industry requirements.

Our intention is to further expand our rewards ‘menu’ to satisfy all the members of LiveTribe. That is why soon we will be introducing new rewards that will allow you more flexibility when you convert your points, giving you more freedom to spend both on and offline.

Types of Market Research

Market research is an essential part in doing business in the modern era. In making decisions, directors should rely on the data gathered from the market. Seeing the importance of market research, many companies will spend millions of dollars to tap into the public’s opinion as basis of developing new products or services. However, some companies take a cheaper way in doing research. In doing the business surveys, they rely on the internet. LiveTribe is one of a few survey companies which gather people from all over the world to share their opinion, perception and attitude towards a product or a service. At LiveTribe, members can take quick surveys which take five to ten minuted to complete.

Besides conducting surveys, LiveTribe also invite their members to join discussion groups which discuss a certain type of product or service. The conclusion of the discussion will be used by a company to develop its business and to arrange some strategies to face the tough competition. At LiveTribe, the discussions vary from relationships around products to different types of fragrances. In addition, the discussion is also dynamic as people with various culture or backgrounds gather into one community. In terms of market, this is considered a benefit as companies will get a thorough explanation and discussion about certain events, products, ideas or services from a wide range of background and people.

On the other hand, LiveTribe also conduct web surveys in the form of polls. By joining LiveTribe polls and their other marketing research members have the opportunity to win various rewards or prizes. The site is a very good site for those who are interested in marketing activities and for those who like to share their opinion. Because of its simple questions, the site is suitable for almost everyone. People who are 14 years or older can join the site and have the opportunity to win the prize.

How Much Exactly Can You Win With LiveTribe?

Apart from offering regular consumer surveys, online discussions, engaging questionnaires and forums, LiveTribe also holds regular competitions with impressive prize pools. Our last year’s biggest competition – $25,000 Lifestyle Draw – had a total prize pool of AU$29,500 with 9 provisional prizes of $500 each and the main prize of $25,000. All LiveTribe members were automatically eligible to be in the draw upon signing up and maintaining an active membership through participating in online surveys. The real bonus is that for participating in surveys members also get incentives in points that later can be exchanged for various online rewards, such as vouchers and gift cards. In other words, with LiveTribe you get rewards and incentives for many different activities plus a real chance of winning significant cash prizes.

Once one major competition is over, it is immediately followed by the next one giving LiveTribe members more chances to win. After the $25,000 Giveaway was finalised, it was replaced by Luxury Holiday Draw to the value of $3,000 and then followed by more regular monthly competitions with higher than before prize pools in between the major draws. The idea is to give all the LiveTribe members more chances to win regularly.

The $3,000 Luxury Holiday Draw ended in December 2011. Our next major draw has an increased prize pool of $5,000. It will be drawn in March 2012 and divided between five lucky winners.

We have further plans to hold more competitions on a more regular basis as well as work on improving rewards and incentives offered to members for participating in online surveys. Information on our past winners can be found in LiveTribe members area.

Joining the LiveTribe panel is easy and brings great benefits from regular rewards to a chance of winning significant cash prizes in our online competitions. Our members’ ideas and opinions are very valuable to us, and incentives, rewards and cash prizes are all a token of our appreciation and a way to thank our members for sharing them with us.

How to Earn Free Money in Minutes

It goes without saying that information gathered from a systematic market research is information which is very important for strategic business decisions. In detail, the research is a systematic approach to the collection of data of a specific target market. The data is analysed and used for the purpose of product or service development. Here, companies will elicit a variety of related data to guide business decision. According to the forefront market research company, market research should not be conducted as a one off, companies which want to survive in the market place should conduct market research on an ongoing basis to enhance their productivity.

Seeing the importance of market research, companies will spend millions of dollars to have opinions recorded and analysed. As a reward, some companies offer gifts, coupons or give people the opportunity to win cash and tangible prizes. In addition, multinational companies which produce services or products for people around the world would prefer to do the research online to cope with geographical boundaries. Therefore, it is a very good opportunity for people to earn money online. Joining a market research company will usually take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete the application forms. Once the survey is complete, participants can usually refer a friend to join a survey as well. At the end, participants can earn rewards online and redeem these rewards with products that they like. If participants are lucky, they can get up to a hundred dollars for simply completing a 30 minute survey.

If you are interested, you can simply look for an online market research company through an online directory which provides various websites of online survey companies. Once you find a website you will be required to register and elaborate your lifestyle habits, likes and dislike, hobbies, shopping habits, favourite snacks and/or readings. The online survey company will then match your profile with their data base of the available surveys. Once they find suitable projects which match your profile, you will be notified by email and ask to join a particular survey. Finishing the survey, you will have an opportunity to obtain rewards online. Although this is an easy way to earn money online, participants should maintain their honesty on the survey otherwise they will be banned by website administrators.
